A Mission of Charity and Local Promotion

The Greater Holden Beach Merchant Association was formed over 30 years ago to promote local businesses and tourism and to donate to worthy area charities. This mission is carried out through its two weekend festivals and the summer concerts. All of the events sponsored by the merchants association are free to the public and visiting tourists.

Events

Each year the merchants association sponsors 3 main events. "Days at the Docks" is a two-day event that takes place the last full weekend in April. Each Sunday evening from Memorial Day through Labor Day, "Concerts on the Coast" attract toe-tapping residents and visitors alike. "NC Festival by the Sea," held the last full weekend in October, is kicked off by a parade down the causeway.
