Welcome to Holden Beach!
Ranked among the “Top 10 Family Beaches in the US" by National Geographic’s, TRAVELER Magazine, Holden Beach is a barrier island, located on the southern coast of North Carolina. The island was originally developed in the 1920's as a family destination for sand and sun. It maintains its nostalgic appeal today with low density and limited commercialism. The Greater Holden Beach Merchants Association is an integral part of this community, building recognition and awareness through festivals, promotions and charitable donations.
